PPC Cement Jupiter | LAB Boardroom

Audiovisual Design & Integration SA (AVDI) recently completed the audiovisual installation and commissioning of the LAB Boardroom at PPC Cement's Jupiter facility, providing the laboratory team with a fully functional video conferencing and collaboration facility.

Rather than unnecessarily replacing existing technology, AVDI assessed and repurposed the client's existing audiovisual equipment, including an AVer VC520 PRO3 USB video conferencing system and a 55" Samsung display, integrating these components to create a practical and reliable video conferencing solution.

At AVDI, we believe that effective audiovisual integration does not always require replacing existing equipment with new technology. Where equipment remains fit for purpose, repurposing and integrating existing assets can deliver significant cost savings while extending the useful lifespan of a client's technology investment.

This approach also provides important environmental benefits by reducing unnecessary electronic waste and the environmental impact associated with manufacturing, transporting and disposing of replacement equipment.

Computer Society of Zimbabwe (CSZ) | Radisson Blu Sandton Set Up

We were proud to provide the audiovisual production and technical support for the Computer Society of Zimbabwe (CSZ) NEXTON 2026 Inaugural Event, held over 16 & 17 June 2026 at the elegant Radisson Blu Sandton.

As an internationally recognised professional body representing Zimbabwe's ICT community, the Computer Society of Zimbabwe brought together industry leaders, innovators and technology professionals for two inspiring days of collaboration, networking and discussions focused on the future of ICT.

For this prestigious event, Audiovisual Design & Integration SA (AVDI) supplied and installed a 6m × 2m LED wall mounted on a 600mm-high riser, together with a 6m × 2m stage finished at 300mm high with elegant black skirting, creating a professional presentation platform that enhanced the delegate experience throughout the conference.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Computer Society of Zimbabwe for the opportunity to be part of this landmark inaugural event. It was a privilege to deliver the technical production and help bring your vision to life.

Real Life Church Krugersdorp | AV Infrastructure - Inaugural use

Every successful audiovisual installation starts with the right infrastructure.

As part of the new reception and coffee shop development at Real Life Church in Krugersdorp, the AVDI team was involved from the planning and construction stages to ensure the required audiovisual infrastructure was correctly incorporated into the building.

During this phase of the project, our team installed and routed dedicated conduits to the various equipment and device locations before drawing in the specialised cabling required for the new audio and video systems.

The infrastructure installation included:
• Installation and routing of dedicated AV conduits to equipment and device locations
• High-quality CAT6 cabling for video signal distribution using HDMI-over-CAT6 extenders
• 0.5mm² twisted-pair 100V line speaker cable for the distributed audio system
• Careful cable routing and infrastructure planning to support system reliability and future expansion

The quality of an audiovisual installation is determined by far more than the equipment visible at the end of a project. Correct infrastructure planning, cable selection and professional installation are essential to ensuring long-term reliability, serviceability and scalability.

By working alongside the construction team from an early stage, AVDI was able to ensure that the audiovisual infrastructure was correctly positioned and installed before the final equipment installation and commissioning.

Real Life Church | Reception & Coffee Shop AV Installation – System Commissioning

AVDI was proud to design, supply and install a professional audiovisual solution for the new reception and coffee shop area at Real Life Church in Krugersdorp.

Involved from the initial planning and construction stages, AVDI ensured the client's audiovisual requirements were incorporated into the building infrastructure from the outset, delivering a solution designed for reliability, flexibility and future scalability.

The installation included:

• Two 75-inch displays and one 65-inch display, professionally wall-mounted
• A Kramer VS-88H2 8×8 HDMI matrix switcher
• HDMI-over-CAT6 extenders for long-distance video distribution
• A TOA A-2240CE commercial audio amplifier
• A 100V line distributed audio system
• TOA BS-1030B loudspeakers
• Flush-mounted local volume attenuators

At the heart of the video system, the Kramer 8×8 HDMI matrix allows multiple video sources to be routed independently to displays throughout the building. HDMI-over-CAT6 technology provides reliable, high-quality video transmission over the longer distances required within the facility.

The TOA commercial audio solution provides dependable background audio distribution, while local volume controls allow sound levels to be adjusted according to occupancy and the requirements of each area.

By consulting from the earliest stages of construction, AVDI coordinated the infrastructure and technology requirements to create a clean, integrated solution designed to support the church's needs today while allowing for future expansion.
