The Market Folk South East Queensland's curated design market. You may have previously known us as Metre Market! Find us at Coorparoo Square & Gasworks Plaza, Brisbane.

Discover talented small creative businesses, handmade goods, workshops, live music and family fun at Brisbane and Gold Coast's favourite venues. The Market Folk is a Brisbane Market featuring a carefully curated line up of Creative Businesses as well as a popular pre-loved rack sale. At our markets you will find people who love to shop second hand, support local handmade talent all while enjoying

good coffee, food and getting to know the community. Our markets were founded in 2015, our original name came about from our early events featuring a large rack sale - all the racks were a metre long so the Metre Market was born. Over the years our creative community has grown which is the markets everyone has come to know and love today.
We shop, we create, we support small - we are all The Market Folk.

The Market Folk is owned and managed full time by Sarah a local Brisbanite, creative, young mum and advocate of small businesses. We partner with some of Brisbane's best lifestyle precincts creating exciting collaborations and activating new spaces for communities. We are very proud of the community of talented and like-minded businesses we have created in partnership with these venues. The Market Folk values sustainable shopping and provides an opportunity for the Brisbane community to come together and play their part in helping the environment. By recycling your belongings or shopping handmade you are helping to save energy, water and non renewable resources that are used to make bulk new goods. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us!
