In rural communities of Central Vietnam, many mothers carry the weight of two parents. Some are raising children alone while their husbands search for work far from home. Others have returned to their home villages with the children, separated by distance and circumstance, doing everything they can to keep their families together. With unstable income and long workdays, these mothers face impossible choices, providing for their children or being present with them. Yet every day, they keep going. They work, they sacrifice and they hope for something better for their children. As Mother's Day approaches, we honour the strength of these women and the quiet courage they show in the face of hardship. This week, we're sharing how income generation projects are helping mothers in Central Vietnam build stability, dignity and a future for their children.
