The Drag Box Technique was used by my father Jim Tillett for many years. Originally the box was invented by my grandfather George Tillett for striping fabric. And was a series of boxes with different colors and mechanically dragged across the fabric. In the early 1900’s the drum roller was invented rendering the box striping obsolete. My father beginning in the 1940’s began using individual boxes by hand creating a unique striping pattern on each project.
