How it started vs how it's going. July of 2022 I made my first crew cab custom built truck. I was so excited to get it done I didnt realize how unfinished it actually looked. In the last 4 years we have made many improvements to the process. Better materials and hand tools to produce a better truck. We wanted decals so sourced someone to make replica 4x4 and fender badge decals. Then we discovered the world of 3d printed products for these little trucks. We have a variety of tool boxes, headache racks, exhuast stacks and other 3d printed items. Other little details that came with time, painting the door handles and wind shield wipers back on to the diecats, hand making exhaust tips, and adding cablights. The stock mirrors that are 3d printed are incredible fragile and easy to break off, so we stick with the GM mirror conversions. While the black truck is my 1st custom made crew cab and will always be one of my favorites I've built, the red and black truck has a much more finished look. I could easily go back and add all the things to that first truck I built, I've always said im leaving just as it was the day I finished it.
Hope to post some more builds soon, but the Minnesota heat and humidity has the little truck business shut down at this time.
Enjoy the rest of the summer!
