Copper, silver, and gold all in the same column in the periodic table...good conductors of electricity. Wonder about Roentgenium, just below gold, radioactive pickups!?!

A HUGE thanks to all my friends and family that helped me make the move from California to Indiana. Shop is functional and pickup making is back up and going. It's been quite the journey.

Number one reason old pickups fail...rust on magnets eats away the insulated magnet wire. I tape off the magnets to hedge against this.

I machined (CNC) wound 9 pickups back in 2016 all the same specs except the magnet wire. This is the graph mapping the results. Notice the inductance (red line) is virtually not affected by the difference is these gauges of wire.

Our favorite guitar builder and musician just released his newest album. All the songs are great, but number 10 is our favorite. The album is all about beer and we're thanked in the liner notes (yea!). Does it get better?

Just for fun, thought of this late at night. I call this the lute rose pickup, inner design inspired by a 1600's lute rosette. First prototype, 30 Alnico 5 rods, and 44 AWG heavy formvar wire.
