Tonight's live (and bonus) Shenanigans!

A Chrome Bolt Action pen, dressed in a patriotic label cast blank, featuring the American flag, the U.S. Constitution, and an image of Iwo Jima, by Michelle Bagley at Drop Anchor Creations.

And bonus Shenanigans, you guys got to see pressed, a Gunmetal Bolt Action, dressed in a beautiful piece of stabilized Buckeye Burl, and finished with a high gloss CA finish. Buckeye has to be one of my top 5 favorite burls to turn, with it's color contrast and just the way that the grain goes crazy!

We are all set up and open for business down at the EagleSticks Golf Club's Summer Vendor Market, in South Zanesville, OH! Come shop close to 60 local vendors with some awesome products and help support local small businesses! We will all be here until 4pm! Hope to see you all here!

Well, I wasn't exactly planning on cranking out 3 tonight, but I did! The plan was just to make sure my packout was ready for tomorrow, and that lights are charged.

An Antique Bronze Cigar twist pen, dressed in a matching Wild Turkey bourbon label cast cap and barrel stave kit, I was able to drill it off center to preserve some of the char on the stave.

A second Antique Bronze Cigar twist pen, dressed in a matching Buffalo Trace bourbon label cast cap and barrel stave kit, with char preserved on the stave.

Third, another Antique Bronze Cigar twist pen, dressed in a matching Bulleit Bourbon label cast cap and barrel stave kit. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to save the char, but still a beautiful pen!

All blank kits and pen kits came from Michelle Bagley at Drop Anchor Creations.

Tonight's live shenanigans!

A Chrome Cigar twist pen, dressed in a beautiful piece of Coconut Palm, and finished with a CA finish.

I'm really glad this one came out, as Palm is notorious for being very difficult to work with. It's stringy and fibrous, and very prone to tear out, especially with carbide tools. My skew did pretty good at smooth, clean cuts despite being fairly dull.

I was also having trouble on the stream getting the contrast between the dark and light areas to show up, but they look pretty good in the photos.

Let me know if you've ever turned palm, and have some tips or secrets on getting good results with palm!

Seriously? If you're going to try to scam me, at least pic a picture that shows completed products!
