Another year of HWY 62 Open Studio Art Tours print design is in the bag! I don’t often post about my design work (or even share my face for that matter!) so it might come as news to y’all that I’ve been working as a graphic designer for nearly two decades. This is my second year as lead designer for the HWY 62 Open Studio Art Tours and I’m so proud of the final results.

The primary print deliverable is a 100-page print catalog + multi-panel print map of artist studios and sponsor locations. Overall design goal: clean, minimalist design that serves to highlight and elevate the 175+ talented artists working in over 125 studios across the Morongo Basin, with a secondary focus on the natural beauty of our desert home.

This weekend is the opening weekend of the Art Tours, and the event runs the first three weekends throughout the month of October. Visit HWY 62 Open Studio Art Tours for more information, including digital maps, a mobile app, and other info to help you plan your high desert visit!

Rainbows + rain, a perfect couple of wild winter weather days in the high desert! 🌈 💜 Thank you to everyone who has been keeping me so busy in the shop! This is just a quick reminder that now is sort of your last chance to order anything and get it before Christmas! Helluva sky show last! First shot is a comp as the Full Flower Moon approached total lunar eclipse. It happened so quickly, but then stayed fully eclipsed for over an hour. (Second photo.) Because of my location, the moon was already roughly 1/3 eclipsed at moonrise. (Last photo.)
