Inspiration

I dont have to look far around to find my inspiration and support to keep the hours I do (see my little lightbulb above). Like the gorgeous wood that I salvage from fire wreckage; such is the beginning of this little carpentry shop filament. Starting from a hobby, filament has, in a way without choice grown to be the main source of revenue for our family. Like so many pieces of lumber put under my chop saw, on Dec 7th I was brought in by my previous employer of 4yrs and cut. No warning no options...just goodbye. Working in a seasonal business this was the said “Fire”

And from deep within that fire an intensifying glow illuminated everything. With a growing book of business and a decent skill set it was decided. Filament1860 will receive all efforts rather then 1/16th of efforts and let the wood chips fall where they may. With an unprecedented drive and an ignited sense of necessity, we started designing.

Doing what I love, with the ones I love for people who seem to love the product has been so rewarding already. Carried by the love and support of my amazing wife and enlightened by the 2 and a half foot tall fountain of innocence and encouragement who lights up our lives. We sincerely thank everyone who has unknowingly been helping to not only support us but also support the decision that this is what was meant to happen. And from that fire back in December something undeniably beautiful was pulled out of the wreckage.
