Thank you everyone for the love and support! 💙 I truly appreciate everyone taking the time to comment and reach out to me and Yvie, we definitely felt the love.
Unfortunately, we lost almost everything. We came home with a table, a chair, and a few odds and ends.
Most of the earrings were on the ground submerged in mud and covered in grass. Some were broken, or cracked, and some of the designs started to fade or peel. I was hoping I’d be able to clean them, replace the metal findings and earring hooks… but after looking through everything… it’s just not possible.
I had a few pieces (and by few I mean about a dozen out of the hundreds) that were in a plastic bag and survived the storm.
The earring display boards were broken and from sitting in the mud they just crumbled apart. Most of metal peg board hooks survived a few were bent beyond repair.
The tent was of course broken beyond repair, I think I read in one of the posts that out for 165 canopy tents at the fairy festival only two survived.
All of the signs, business card, office supplies, stickers, were damaged… you don’t think about the expense of business cards and I’m assuming every vendor lost those. I had a set of jewelry pliers that were already rusted from sitting in the water.
My credit card reader won’t power on.
I’ve already made peace with everything. Yvie was shocked but quickly realized it was unavoidable. This was a fun side hustle for us. I’m really telling you all this because my heart breaks for the other vendors, many who did this as their career, who lost everything or almost everything. And also for the event organizers who lost almost everything… they are still at the park this morning cleaning up. Please keep them in your thoughts and support them if possible.
We do have earrings stocked for both Halloween and Christmas at in Hellam and .co in Manchester. These are truly the last of our earrings… please, head out to these small local businesses and check out our earrings and shop local.
