Greetings!
Well, I have not been particularly consistent with Stump Sprout page updates, but as Thanksgiving approaches I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for your support of my business in 2012. Thank you for the "likes", messages, comments, encouragement and of course the orders!
I've really enjoyed giving new life to reclaimed material through furniture designs this summer and fall. The pieces come from all over - old doors into tables, beams from the waste station into legs, barn boards into cabinets - and I hope these pieces will have a long life far away from the landfill. Which brings me to thoughts for the coming months....
I love tiny spaces. I love tiny mobile houses, efficient workshops, cozy artists' studios, kids' playhouses, and charming guest cottages. I like tasteful, simplistic design where space and energy efficiency are prioritized. And I really love these structures when they utilize some small part of the 4 trillion pounds of construction debris we discard every year in the US. As I move toward designing and building these small reclaimed spaces, please contact me if you have a project in mind you'd like to discuss. I'd love to create something for you that is beautiful, unique and built to last.
