Bring on those fall vibes because I am ready!!
As someone who made a living writing happily-ever-afters, I officially gave up on finding my own.
After countless disastrous dates and almost settling for the wrong person, I knew something had to change. It wasn’t that I didn’t want love, but it seemed like love didn’t want me.
With nothing left to lose, I packed my bags and escaped to a secluded small town, determined to focus entirely on myself. To stay on track, I put two strict rules in place:
Rule #1: Do not fall in love.

Unfortunately, the universe ignored my rules and sent me the most infuriatingly charming guy to help me out. And I desperately needed help. I had bought a rundown house on a whim, and Rhett stepped in to help tackle the overwhelming repairs. Soon, a close friendship blossomed between us, and I struggled to remember my own boundaries.
The harder I tried to convince myself that romance was not in the cards, the more fate kept shuffling the deck. I wanted Rhett deeply, but how could I love someone else when I didn’t even know who I was? I needed to find myself, but the love Rhett offered felt like nothing I had ever experienced.
