The 4-Oh-9 We are a small roadside stand (a work in progress) located on route 409 in Camptown, PA. In the coming months we will have fruits and vegetables again.

Currently we have flowers - hanging baskets, planters, and single plants. Self serve.

It's a good day for planting. A little cool, a little cloudy - come get some flowers to brighten things up!

Angelonia is a tropical flowering shrub native to Mexico and the West Indies. It's known for its long summer blooms of snapdragon-like flowers that come in white, pink, purple, and blue shades. Angelonia plants grow upright and bushy, typically reaching 12–24 inches tall and 12–18 inches wide.

A lot of our petunias are the Wave variety. A Wave petunia grows 5 to 7 inches tall but spreads 2 to 4 feet. They’re also known for growing quickly—up to 2 inches per day. Their rapid spread makes them perfect for a ground cover, but also great for containers. We have single pots and six packs available!

Do you have a spot you're looking to fill in your flowerbed? Check out these Makana Silver Maui Wormwood - it is fast growing, drought-tolerant, AND deer resistant. No guarantees on the deer resistance, I've heard that before and had my holly bushes stripped bare in the winter.

We just added a couple lettuce bowls to the vegetable table. Keep them on your porch close by and have fresh lettuce this summer!

Have you planted your garden yet? We have a lot of veggie plants - including tomatoes, peppers, squash, and zucchini. There are also many different kinds of seeds available. It's still early, you have plenty of time! Seeds are located inside the shed on the table.

Gardening isn't your thing? No problem - we hope to have produce available within a couple weeks!

A friend made this adorable little planter from a couple of plants she bought at The 4-Oh-9, so cute!

Route 409 (the road we are located on) is scheduled to be closed this week during the day. However, you should still be able to get to us from the Camptown side. It is our understanding that the actual road work is being done on the other end of 409 - closer to route 6.

Is this the ideal day to go plant shopping? Probably not. However, if it's a toss up between that and cleaning your house - grab your rain coat and boots and come on out! We have a few new items today. We also have two small bouquets of cut flowers. Perfect to cheer yourself or someone else up on this rainy day.

We hope you like the petunias we have labeled in the picture below. We managed to get quite a few of them and got a great deal so we can pass the savings on to you - they're on sale, 6 pack for $3.00.

We also have seeds. They are inside the shed, we have more, but only a couple of each are out - just in case the rain blows in.
