It is with a heavy heart that we announce Gourmet Berries will permanently close. We have been through quite the ride. Six months after opening, we were hit by natural disaster and fought for over two years to get back home. Nine months after the tornado, a global pandemic. It has not been the easiest ride, but I can say I have loved every minute of making your chocolate covered confections.

Gourmet Berries is one of my proudest accomplishments. However, through the last 2.5 years since our world was turned up-sided down, I have discovered I am not finished perusing other passions. I have more dreams to chase. A list of things I want to try. I have learned how short life can be and how everything can change in an instant. With that being said, I have received a once in a lifetime opportunity that I cannot turn down.

*UPDATE Reopening...*

We wanted to take the time to let everyone know our fight with insurance is over and the building process is nearing the end. We are planning on reopening in the next few months. We do not want to set a firm date until we are are moved back in. We have had many messages asking if we will be open for Mother’s Day and unfortunately we will not be open by then.

Thank you for all of your messages over this long process. We cannot wait to reopen and start doing what we love again! 🍓🍒🍊🍏🍫🍫

* UPDATE*

Here is an update to answer the questions we have been receiving. This is where our house is in the rebuilding process from the 2019 tornadoes. As you can see, there’s a lot of work to do. Fighting with insurance and delays due to COVID, have made a challenging time, even more challenging. On top of that we are moving again since our lease is up at our rental. All that being said, we are healthy and blessed to be seeing progress.

Many of you have asked if we will open before Christmas. We wish we could say yes, but as you can see from the photos, we won’t be back into our house until next year. We are hoping to be open for Valentine’s Day, but we will have to see where we are in the process at that time.

As soon as we have a more concrete timeline, we will update you again. We want to thank you for your continued support, thoughts, prayers, and good vibes.

IT IS WITH HEAVY HEARTS THAT WE MAKE THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.

Gourmet Berries is closing temporarily. Any orders already placed will be completed. However, as of today, we are not accepting anymore orders. As some of you may already know, we were hit by the Memorial Day tornados last year. We have not lived in our home since that awful night. We never thought in a million years we would still be fighting our insurance company to pay for the damages that have left our home uninhabitable. But here we are, 16 months later. Due to all this, we are stepping back from the business to focus on fighting to get back our home.

That being said, we will reopen as soon as we are moved back into our home and the fight is over. We hope that we can come to a resolution within the next few months and will keep you updated. We appreciate your business over the last two years and cannot wait to be back doing what we love.
