Getting in front of new customers is vulnerable work.

As an artist, I spend hours alone just working. I question it. I refine it. I pour pieces of myself into each piece… and then you carry it into a show full of strangers and hope it resonates.

That part is scary.

But this week has been so amazing.

Because I watched women round the corner to my booth and pause.

That pause tells me everything.
It’s that look that says, oh, wow.

My people are finding me.

Yesterday I took this photo because this woman absolutely stole my heart. She put her bag on and lit up. Not politely. Not subtly. She glowed. She told me she was wearing it out for the rest of the day and didn’t even want to take it off.

That moment right there is why I do this.

It’s never just about the bag. It’s about how a woman feels when she carries something that feels like her.
Strong. Different. Seen.

Watching her be that happy made me deeply happy in a way that’s hard to explain. That connection between maker and wearer… it’s everything.

What a week we have had.

Pressure does something interesting to a creative.

Some people spiral.
Some people shut down.

Me?
I design.

When I feel the weight of a hundred things on my list… packing for Arizona, finishing projects, tying up loose ends… my brain doesn’t scream. It imagines.

It starts sketching.
It starts pairing textures.
It starts whispering, what if…

Creating is how I regulate. It’s how I focus. It’s how I breathe.

And today, in the middle of “you have 100 other things to do,” I let myself disappear into a new design.

Introducing The Sundance.

She wasn’t on the list.
She wasn’t planned.
She wasn’t practical for today.

But she needed out of my head.

So I followed it.

Because that’s the thing about my art. I don’t create from obligation. I create from obsession. From instinct. From that pull I can’t ignore.

The Sundance is small but full of spirit. A little wild. A little refined.

I still have 100 things to do before I leave for Arizona.

But this design?
She’s out of my head now.

And she’s a beautiful little number.

This is what it looks like when a creative honors the call instead of my checklist.
