WOOSTER CRUISE-IN / JUNE 2026 - Laat night, we participated in the Wooster Cruise-In in downtown Wooster. The weather was perfect, so there was a large turnout. In fact, there were so many people sort of sandwiched around all of the cars that it was very hard to take pictures of just the cars themselves. So, I didn't get as many photos as I normally do. But... it was still enjoyable. --- This year, for the first time, I took my 1971 black Grand Prix. I just acquired this car last year, so I haven't had an opportunity to take it out much, so far. --- As you may know, another one of my hobbies is classic cars, especially Pontiacs. NEW TO OUR SALES FLOOR - Earlier in June, we purchased a small estate of McINTOSH pieces in Mayfield Heights (Cleveland). All of the items are 1 owner and in pristine condition. --- This MAC 4100 receiver is one of the pieces. As you can see by these photos, this unit is in mint condition. Comes with the original owners manual (not a copy). I already have a 4100 in my home collection or I would most definitely take this one home. $3500. --- Hooked up, ready to demonstrate. -Brian

ROAD TRIP / AKRON, OH - Wednesday evening, we went on an unexpected and unusual ROAD TRIP up in north Akron. Earlier in the day, a pleasant lady e-mailed me with a list of quality OTARI and TASCAM reel-to-teel tape machines, along with many other studio pieces. She left me her number, so I decided to give her a call and see what this estate was all about. She said that all of these items belonged to her brother, who passed away earlier this year. --- Later in the evening, we went to the house where all of these pieces are. The house isn't very large, but it was FULL of 1/2 and 2 inch reel-to-reel tape decks, mixing boards, MARSHAL, GIBSON and FENDER amps, microphones and on and on. Everything in the house had sat idle for some years, so there was a good bit of dust and such. --- The lady allowed me to take a few quick photos. The old house was sort of dark, so my photos may not be the best. --- I made her an offer on the estate, but she'll have to check with the other siblings before I get an answer. Not sure if I'll get this estate (it would be cool to get all of the reel-to-reel tape machines, though), but it was definitely and interesting evening. --- As a side note, the lady said that her brother, at one time, was a touring musician with Joe Walsh. -Brian

While we were in Nashville last week, we stopped by NASHVILLE RECORDING SUPPLY and picked up several SM-911 10 inch tapes (for personal use), along with various supplies. --- If you're in the market for quality 7 or 10 inch blank tapes, don't buy them on ebay, reach out to Adam at NASHVILLE RECORDING SUPPLY. I've been buying SM-911 tapes from him for many years. I haven't received a bad tape yet. -Brian
