Cañada College Will Reopen for In-person Classes and Business Operations at 12 p.m/ Noon Today, October 4, 2024.

Cañada remains closed until at least 12 p.m./Noon tomorrow, October 4, 2024 for in-person classes & business operations.

Cañada is experiencing a power outage. The campus community should evacuate campus immediately. Campus will be closed until tomorrow morning.

We will reevaluate in-person courses and business operations that take place on campus for this afternoon, October 3, 2024 and will deliver any further closure notices at 8 a.m. today, Thursday, October 3, 2024.

All day and evening in-person classes are canceled today, Wednesday, September 20. All offices and in-person services are closed. Online courses will continue as scheduled.

San Mateo County is experiencing sustained unhealthy Air Quality Index (AQI) levels, and Cañada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College are closed for in-person instruction and services today.

All day and evening in-person classes are canceled today, Wednesday, September 20. All offices and in-person services are closed. Online courses will continue as scheduled.

A decision regarding operations tomorrow, Thursday, September 21, will be made by 6 pm this evening.

SMCCCD Emergency Services relies on air quality data sources, including AirNow, PurpleAir, and IQ Air, to calculate an average reading and ensure accurate assessment.
