Lamiglas' Surfcasting Division is a sub-division of Lamiglas, the creators of some of the best surf fishing rods ever designed.

Led by passion, while also maintaining integrity, the Surfcasting Division is dedicated to tradition, ethics, and conservation. Lamiglas is located in Woodland, Washington, the rod design capital of the world. One of the oldest rod manufacturers in the world, we have specialized in the rod building craft for a very long time. Our first fishing rod blank ever produced was an 11' fiberglass surf rod

, back in 1949. When graphite was first introduced to the market in the 1970's, Lamiglas was one of the pioneers of producing graphite fishing rods and blanks. Today, high modulus graphite is the backbone of industry and Lamiglas continues to push the envelope on fishing rod innovation every day. We are a USA based, family owned and operated company. Staying with the theme of Mega Bass, here is one that is going to be tough to beat. landed this absolute behemoth on a prototype 10ft MH, the fish fell just short of the 60lb mark, it ate a green Mega Shad fished on a 2oz jig head. I have a feeling someone’s going to break the 60ld mark this season. I can’t wait to see everyone’s 2022 personal bests.

Now that is a true fish of a lifetime! Here is our friend with a monster bass he caught on a solo mission with his GSB old school 1321m. This fish went well over 55lbs 🐮. Cold nights, frozen fingers, bad pictures and knowing that every bite you get was earned. Chasing bites might get you a bend in the rod but never the satisfaction of knowing you earned your fish. Hope spring comes soon!

Persistence is by far the the most important quality a surfcaster utilizes . We all love this sport because it is challenging, it pushes your limits to the test, mentally and physically. The Silver King aka the Tarpon is probably the hardest game fish to land from the surf and that’s why .nicemonkey travels all the way across the country to target them. The more you get to know Ryan the more you realize there is nothing he cannot do, just tell him he can’t and he proves you wrong every time! We love having guys like .nicemonkey on the Surfcasting team. Not because of the fish they catch but for there genuine love of the sport! I’m looking forward to meeting a lot more anglers like them up here in the Northeast during the fall run!
