🚨🐻 Bear Sightings on the Rise in Our Community 🐻🚨
Living in the mountains means sharing our home with wildlife — including bears. Spring's arrival means an uptick in bear activity across the community.
Help keep bears (and people) safe by following these Bear-Aware tips:
✅ Trash: Only put garbage out right before pickup, and use bear-resistant containers whenever possible.
✅ Lock up: Keep home and vehicle doors locked at night — bears have been known to open doors!
✅ Pets & kids: Keep an eye on children and pets when they’re outdoors, especially in the early morning and evening hours.
✅ Grills: Clean BBQ grills thoroughly after each use — the smell can attract curious bears.
✅ Bird feeders: Hang feeders high and away from your home; better yet, consider taking them down until winter.
✅ No food outside: Don’t leave pet food, coolers, or scented items outdoors.
