We added supers to our hives today. They are making honey like crazy. The flow is on. So, as we are getting the supers ready we realize that we are missing one super frame and had no idea where it was. We found it. It was mixed in with the deeps and the girls started building comb on the bottom. So cool. BEES ARE SO AWESOME!!!

We did a hive inspection late tonight. Was concerned about our purple hive. They have been bearding. Upon inspection we found the super full of honey, so we added another super. Our other 3 hives were not as full but will need a super added shortly. I was so surprised. 🐝❤️
Bees are so awesome.

Today is a cool day which makes it a good day to finish up this round of mite treatments. Our hives are looking strong. 🐝🐝🐝

Doing our hive spring cleaning and getting the hives ready for nucs. It was super sad though. Thousand and thousand of dead bees. 😢

Sad news today. Our last hive died during the week. They were good last weekend and even flying around, but upon today’s check they are all dead. I was so hopeful to have a hive last the winter but no luck. I guess we will start again in a month or so.

Checked on our bees today and I am very sad to say we lost 2 hives. They were dead inside. Maybe they couldn’t get back together fast enough after this last warm spell. I’m so sad. Hoping and praying our last hive makes it.
