One of my favorite things to do at a card show is dig through quarter boxes and today while doing some digging I met one of my hobby idols at the , a member of my hobby Mount Rushmore. Dr. James Beckett founded Beckett Media, which was the dominant force in prices, hobby news, and articles. His name is virtually synonymous with the word “value” among card collectors, and is so prevalent that it wasn’t until after we took the photo that I realized we were both wearing lanyards with his name on it.
