It's been quite the year! Sorry there have been no posts lately. Jelly is not on my to do list this season. Taking care of myself is priority and it's worth it. Thnx

First market of the year 2021 and what an enjoyable time we had, getting back in the routine and greeting everyone. Thank you for coming out on this lovely day. I am not in jelly production at this time, it will be a few weeks away but my artwork sold well. Chicks were for sale see the video. Friends greeting friends in the fresh air, much like a family reunion.

Paying for fruit to make jelly goes against my grain with memories of all the fruit I had gotten for free in the past. I pay for fruit now, with the cost adding up and passed to the consumer. My jelly does not have artificial flavor or color in it. Even the pectin is from a source that is without chemicals. Selling jelly to the public has responsibilities. A food handlers certificate is good to have, wiping down the kitchen with soap and bleach (which I do regularly anyway), hair cover and apron, and a set of utensils that are for jelly only. Boiling the jars and lids. A separate refrigerator for produce is needed to keep the family out of jelly fixins'. My most critical feature is my numerous taste testers, YOU! I relied on my tasters before I made my decision to go public and I'm still open to suggestion. I've handed out samples in the small clear plastic containers which are now sold for a dollar each. I also offer a clear bag with several samples in it for those who can't decide what flavor to choose. I'm trying to make it 5 samples per bag and hope to do so when the heat is over and I can spend more time in the kitchen.
