Sad day for Colorado. In a nut shell here’s what it means.
You have to take a course and pass.
Take that to your sheriff and get on a list.
Then you can go buy your gun. (But have a 3 day wait period and pay 6.5% extra tax)
Want to buy another in 5 yrs? Do it all over again.
Lesson: buy your guns now before Aug 2026, (you’ll still have the extra tax and 3 day wait).

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis signed into law a watered-down but still controversial semiautomatic gun restriction bill on Thursday.

Hello friends and family! We are looking at the Colorado ballot information booklet and they want to raise the taxes on fi****ms, firearm parts, and ammunition. Please share with anyone.

VOTE NO ON PROPOSITION KK

Proposition KK raises the taxes another 6.5% on all sales. Right now in Windsor we pay 6.55% so it will go up to 13.05%! That means a firearm sold for $550 would be $621.78, more than $70 in taxes!

Fort Collins is higher than us and so is Centerra area so their new rates will be even higher!
