Picnic and beach season is arriving, and we have everything you need to enjoy a day in the park, at the beach or on a camping trip from our friends at Gift Essentials! Father's Day is June 21st, and it is never too early to shop for Dad. Check out our collection of Duke Cannon Supply Co. products as a part of his Father's Day gift.

We have two sizes of soap available in a variety of scents, which are triple milled to last longer, and made with natural oils. The Everlasting Puck of Soap is 5 oz, are priced at $6.95, and are literally shaped like a hockey puck. We also have the Big Ass Brick of Soap, which is 10 oz, and priced at $9.95.

We also have the Proper Cologne, which "is built for hard-working gentlemen who understand the importance of smelling good without making a big deal about it. This is a message to all of our Windsor customers who receive the Reminder Advertising and Current Events section of The Hartford Courant, that Family Partnerships of Connecticut has been delivering for the past 20 years in town. We have some sad news to report that the Hartford Courant has decided to stop printing and circulating this section of the paper, and your last delivery will be in 2 weeks. For our agency, this is a huge blow, as this provided jobs to our individuals, and an opportunity for them to earn a paycheck. It gave people of ALL ABILITIES the chance for meaningful employment, and now we must fill a void. So we are asking our community for help:

Our individuals are available to complete organized and routine jobs such as parts assembly, packing products for shipment, sorting, labeling and tagging items, inventory counting, mailings, and outdoor work such as landscaping, yard clean-ups or dump runs. As summer approaches, now is the time to add a bat house to your yard to help with pest control, at the same time allowing for safe places for bat moms to raise their babies. For a successful bat house, place it 12 to 20 feet above the ground in an area that receives at least 6 hours of direct daily sunlight. Mount it on a wooden/masonry building or a secure pole, ensuring there is 20 to 30 feet of clear, unobstructed airspace below for a safe drop-and-glide flight path. Our friends at Opportunity Works Connecticut create bat houses from reclaimed wood as part of their wood working program, and we have 3 available at $30.00 each. Each one comes with an information sheet for successful placement and use. We also have a couple of suet holders made by the individuals at OWCT. Suet is a way to give wild birds calories, attracting species of birds that are insect eaters for additional insect control in your yard.
