I would love to see Linda T. Hubbard receive the Mary Rindfleish Heart of the Arts Award, presented to an outstanding volunteer in recognition of extraordinary commitment and service that nurture arts and culture and increase the quality of life in the community.
Linda helped start The Sherman Artists Association and has been a vital volunteer, supporter of the arts, active artist, and advocate for the creative community for many years. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Sherman Commission for the Arts and has been instrumental in the Great Hollow Photography Club, helping create many programs, workshops, and community art events.
She was also one of the owners of WestRiver Gallery in Beacon Falls, NY, for 16 years, supporting artists and the arts. In addition, she helped manage artist shows at the Land Gallery in Pawling, NY, where she was an active artist member during its first five years. She was also involved with Gallery 25 in New Milford, CT, and has dedicated countless hours to supporting arts and culture in Sherman and surrounding towns.
Linda is a talented photographer who has taught many workshops and led numerous speaking engagements, always encouraging others to explore creativity and the arts.
If you know Linda or have been impacted by the arts community she helped build, please consider submitting a nomination or sharing this post with others.
š Nominations end May 29, 2026.
