Ruth’s is keeping her hands busy making this adorable blanket and hat set in anticipation of her little grandson’s arrival. She crocheted these using Universal’s Uptown DK yarn. This is an acrylic yarn that is super soft and is pill free and one of her favorites.

Wondering what Ruth will be making next? I’m betting it will be something for a baby boy!

If you like cables, you’re going to love this cabled afghan and pillow set that JoAnne knit for a graduation gift. She got the pattern from Ravelry called, “Cozy Cable Throw”, and knit it with Encore Mega by Plymouth Yarn. This is a great super bulky ( #6) yarn that knits up quickly and is machine wash and dry.

See what Ruth has finished crocheting in my Wednesday morning group! It’s a cute baby blanket for her expected grandson and she is over the moon waiting to become a “Grandma”! She used Uptown by Universal Yarns that is so soft and squishy. It’s 100% Acrylic that is pill -resistant and is Oeko-Tex 100 Product Class 1 certified.

I suspect I’ll be sharing lots more baby projects from Ruth as she awaits his arrival.

I decided to show you the pullover I knit called “Cozy Lopi” that I got from Ravelry. It happened to be cold enough to wear it yesterday, so decided to take my picture. I used Plymouth’s yarn, “Hearty Homestead Tweed”, instead of the Lopi it called for and love how it came out.
