Kitchen Gardener
I was recently included in a New York Magazine/Strategist feature of gardeners and what they typically wear while gardening. Very flattering and just excited to see a bunch of gardeners culled together in one place, some friends and many others who we admire. 

There, I mentioned being a sucker for tonality (here with our Stonewashed Le Laboureur Jacket and Smock #2) but also a nice nod to my dad and the stacks of herringbone kitchen pants I discovered after his passing. He didn’t like to get rid of things he thought were still “good”, so I like getting to pay respect to that feeling… and also to my geekily tucking in of pant cuffs into socks!

Vantastic… Bon anniv, bon amis! Happy 70th birthday to Le Laboureur

We recently had the pleasure of visiting .fr in France. where we spent time with their team, got a behind-the-scenes look at their operations, rummage their archives, and plan upcoming projects together. We’re so happy to celebrate their history and be able to play some part in it. Thank you to Jean and Vianney for being such great partners… Here’s to many more years together.

Here are a few snapshots from their original factory, which still bears marks of its earliest days and the authentic character that we love about the brand. And a few first run looks at our latest denim collaboration, which just launched this week!

Chelsea Late-ly

We’ve been in catch up mode since returning from abroad, but before too much time passes, here’s a little intro to our team visiting the Chelsea Flower Show as we began in the plant pavilion before heading to meet our friends at who were so kind to host us that day.

Having never been there before, and even hearing how overwhelming it would be, it’s really so hard to capture how moving it was to see how many people come together for the love of gardening. It left such an impression on us. ♥️

Whoopsie Daisies at Great Dixter
We think a happy accident (?) but in any case, loved this cheery discovery. We won’t be able to help ourselves from showing more photos of gardens visited during this time in the UK, even as it’s difficult to truly capture. So this little start that simply describes the joy of experiencing Great Dixter after years of admiring from afar.

Across the pond… we see London, we see France

A glimpse of the garden before our crew heads out to London and long overdue, first-time visit to Chelsea Flower Show!

We’re excited to take it all in, catch up with our great partners there and hopefully meet new folks along the way. After visiting more gardens (crossing fingers, Sissinghurst, Great Dixter ??), onward to France to work through some new projects with our friends .fr !

Of course timing has it that we’re missing the most glorious weather here in Upstate New York. The garden is finally greening up at surging speed so hope we won’t miss too much… but cannot wait for the adventures abroad.

Maybe we’ll see some of you there?? Let us know if any recommendations in London or Paris too, please!
