DON'T TRASH YOUR PUMPKINS!! 🎃🎃🎃

Take your wilted jack-o-lanterns, pumpkins or gourds to Ambler Farm to help feed local animals!

PLEASE NO paint, glitter, candles, etc. If you can't eat it neither can animals.

Why should you not throw your pumpkins in the trash?

🎃1.3 billion pounds of pumpkins are sent to landfills and incinerators annually in the U.S.
🎃By diverting this wet, heavy organic matter, we lower the cost of hauling trash and reduce the air pollution caused by incinerators that burn our trash.
🎃Leaving food scraps and pumpkins in landfills creates methane gas, contributing to greenhouse gases.

If you are a participant in the Wilton Food Scrap Recycling drop off program you can also drop off your pumpkins and gourds at the Transfer Station.

If you choose to feed the animals in your backyard the same rules apply: If you can't eat it, neither can the animals!
