A dear friend of mine, moved into a new home and I asked her what I could build or refurbish for her new place. She said she wanted a dresser for her microwave. A few days later I saw a beat up old dresser for sale in my town. I texted her and told her I was buying it either way, BUT if she could look past how hideous it was and see if the measurements would work, then it was all hers 😆. She texted back that the measurements were perfect and that she could see past the yuck, to what it could be, and she was excited. The dresser is hand made and most of it is made from fruit crates.
I spent a lot of time on this piece- I rebuilt the top, I made luan panels for the sides, glued and secured the drawers, and spent hours sanding back the many layers of paint and different finishes.
After I finished the dresser I started looking for handles. I started on Etsy and came across rock k**b pulls 😯. *My friend is OBSESSED WITH ROCKS, she has the most insane rock collection. The kids love sitting and looking thru her baskets FULL of beautiful rock* So instantly! I thought about her SPECIAL ❤️ (heart) ROCK collection. I asked her If she had any I could make k**bs with and she supplied me with more than I needed to pick thru and use.

I love this woman endlessly. We are definitely soul sisters and my life is so much brighter and funner when I'm making memories with her. I love that a piece of my art is in her house. I hope when she looks at it she always knows how loved she is. ❤️

Larson keeps asking for a Nintendo Switch... I keep on saying no! 😆
So, I built him a Nintendo switch tv shelf 😜😆 Is that mean?! 😉
I shared progress photos as I built it, but today I finally got the buttons on!
Yes, portions are off in some areas 😆 it was really hard to find the right size wooden discs and his TV was more square than Id like, but I love how it came out, and it's always fun hand mixing the right colors!

Two-Drawer Dresser - SOLD
Solid wood, top is stained with walnut gel stain from the Heirloom Traditions Paint line, the body is painted in Envy from the HTP line.
Measurements: will be added soon!
The drawers have both been rebuilt, and have dovetail joints.
This once 3 drawer dresser, got a major rehaul! It's entirely new now and ready to be a classy storage piece in someone's home. It really could be perfect in any room - entertainment center under your tv, a buffet, a changing table - and built to last!
