In 2018 I discovered the Yard of Wilton Manors n n Lola’s Bazaar thanks to Dr Leslie Bravo ..after discussing it with Lauren Rosa (MSD Art teacher) and her students we started the MSD tribute mural. When teacher Lauren Rosa was getting ready for a new journey in Japan the property owner of Lolas Bazaar found out about my history as a DJ and Music Promoter plus my love for vinyl records and he suggested that I bring the Records to‘Lola’s n Vinylocoz was born. Weekend after weekend while the children were working in the mural.. people started to look at the vinyl and share amazing stories about the importance of music in vinyl in their lives and/ or collecting for the first time. The land has been bought by company that will builds apartments …So this mural has been painted by the children that survived the 2018 tragedy and spent a whole year coming every weekend until they had to go to college …n inside Lolas Bazaar the children will take a break n amazing people from the community and tourists will start digging through vinyl …Now, this company will take a picture n digitize the Mural and have a wall where to show it. it wont be the same that the mural that holds the tears n the sweat of those children whose emotions were difficult to sort, and the only grieving they could do was painting on it.So I will continue to go to the site until they knock it down. After that, and with the help of everybody that cares and help For a better day foundation will make sure that the mural is respected as it should… thank you again to everybody Dr Bravo, Lauren Rosa, the MSD survivor n families, my film Director, my friends from Uruguay to USA n other countries who always supported me with love and care, the people from Wilton Manor, the Yard restaurants, volunteers and the ones getting their music at Vinylocoz. Special mention to Suzanne Divine Clark and the people from the kindness rocks organization.. and to many more.. thank you, gracias, obrigado. . They are no words to express what this amazing experience means to me. Vinylocoz will communicate through social media. You can ask for vinyl you need.. Hope to find a place to share with art food n entertainment!
