Another beautiful bathroom project completed!!

When I say we have the best clients, it is an understatement. This bathroom was months in the making. We redesigned the project 4 times over- and had last minute pivots in the home to level out the subfloor but were able to keep ETA for completion on target for the plumber and electrician to get back in for finishing touches.

I love this grooved tile in a vertical straight stack pattern with the large hex tile on the floor.

People are always surprised when I share pictures and stories from commercial flooring projects that we install at Avalon Flooring. Even the tough jobs with the hardest rip requiring machines and slab scarification can be planned and executed from our showroom in Wilmington, DE. We have an large commercial library filled with samples and installers that have dealt with every curve ball Imaginable. We do the job right, or we don’t do it at all. Even when we have tight windows for shutdown, weekend work, and special order materials to juggle coming from all over the country - we can get it done and get you back in business.

I’ve had my fair share, and was skeptical of the cooper sharp cheese and sesame seed roll at first, but this is next level.

This one was difficult! It’s almost impossible to get red tones out of red oak stairs. Even more so when they have deep/ dark stain colors penetrating the wood. But… our team pulled it off!!

I’ve had 3 clients that opted for the contrasting railing color. Must be a new design trend. I was skeptical at first, but the look is growing on me.

These clients wanted a waterproof vinyl flooring option through the whole 1st floor, and really wanted the primary stairs to coordinate with the new flooring selection. Of course the color of the vinyl flooring is more in the “white oak”tone and this bullnose starter step isn’t readily available to just swap a wood out for another wood species. They are usually custom cut when the house is built. We could get into the weeds with spindles and railings…but I think you get the difficulty. This is specialized work. We also sanded and stained all of the existing red oak flooring on 2nd floor hallways, railing, spindles, and kick plates.

Amazing job team!

We get a lot of requests for stair refinishing to coordinate with new flooring options being installed. They aren’t all winners, but when it’s possible - the team at Avalon Flooring in Wilmington DE can deliver!!

I’m a sucker for a nice herringbone with contrasting grout color.

This side entry/ foyer area was recently installed by Rosauri Builders & Remodelers Inc. (don’t mind the grout haze that has since been removed) it is a porcelain tile made to mimic black slate, without have the upkeep & maintenance that natural stone requires. The “slide” tile collection comes in multiple sizes, and has coordinating mosaics available.

I need to get back out there for updated picture of the bathrooms and vanities that were all Avalon pieces, but didn’t want this one to get lost in the cell phone library of pictures when I scrolled past.

Take a look at this beautiful modern bathroom update that we recently installed in Chadds Ford, PA.

This bathroom previously had a drop in tub with deck that that took up half of the room. We installed electric radiant heat under the floor tile in both the shower room with small vanity, and the large room with soaking tub and primary vanity. Infinity ledge & recessed niche with matching white quartz ledges custom cut on site.

24”x48” Tiles on the floor throughout both rooms to cut out that Grout….This is modern tile design at its best!

I love my clients! We went out for a powder room measure the other day, and it turned out being one of my first bathroom clients back when I was on the design & sales seat before starting my career as an estimator.

Classic Carrara design with a high quality installer. I love that I can’t see a single pattern repeat on that porcelain tile going through the whole shower. Most companies that make porcelain tile that is mimicking marble such as this end up showing the same images over and over again. Pretty cool how far the technology and imaging has come on these modern tiles.

This project was design & installed out of the Avalon Flooring showroom in Wilmington, DE.

How about a follow up to my last post!! Below are the pictures of the guest bathroom that was installed with the blue & white master bathroom I shared last week. Beautiful work installed by Rose Tree Contracting. I’m still trying to find a tag for the company- but they are based out of Media, Pa and work the surrounding areas. They have a great team. I have worked with many of their clients, and everyone has had nothing but the best things to say.
