Our books are open for the 2026/2027 goose season! Come out this season and enjoy a family friendly goose hunting experience with us! We hunt out of roomy 8 man pits that allow us to hunt up to 7 clients and 1 guide per hunt. We will have 7 8 man pits in different locations to hunt this season and several other locations for mobile hunts. This year we will also be flooding one of our 8 man pits to allow us to target geese over water and ducks! Early season geese over water can be very productive. Most of you have probably also heard about the changes to the speck bag limit this year. We are very hopeful that it will add to an overall better season with less pressure being put on the specks. The limit this season will now be 6 specks. Now is the time to reserve your hunt date to ensure weekends or prime dates while they are still available. We keep our rates as low as possible to make it more affordable for people to hunt with us! Often groups will prefer to book several hunts throughout the season and no longer lease blinds. It allows them to not have to invest so much time and money and often times having a more productive season overall! Call, text, email or message us with any questions!

A REFLECTION ON THE 2025/2026 SEASON.......

First off I would like to thank all our awesome clients that hunted with us this past season! Without you we wouldn't be able to share so many days in the field making memories with friends and family. For that we are truly blessed.

Second, I would like to thank all our amazing Guides that do everything possible to provide a safe and fun experience. Thank you Dakota, Jacob, Alex, Corey and Jared for putting in the work day in and day out!

Lastly I would like to thank all our landowners and businesses that provide all the necessary things to run a successful operation. Thank you Lance Coffman at lannies septic service for providing the port a potties for our hunting locations and thanks Pete Briggs at Briggs Mfg for the nice concrete precast blinds that are very roomy and perfect for what we do. And of course, thank you to all our landowners for allowing us to hunt your property!

This past season has been one of the hardest years for goose hunting that I can remember in our 17+ years in business. Season started out looking really good with a high population increase expected by the biologists and birds showing in high numbers early. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. We seen lower than average returns in our area and mostly adult geese. That added to the warmer than average weather made for a challenging season. We finished the season harvesting a little more than 50% of what we normally shoot per season.

The books are open now and we are currently accepting reservations for the 2026/2027 season! We will be adding a few new properties and opportunities for next season. One is we will flood one of our 8 man pits. This will allow us to target geese a little earlier when they are stuck on water as well as providing goose/duck combo hunts! This is something we haven't done in years. Also, with the cost of everything going up we are kicking around the idea of raising our rates a little bit. We pride ourselves on being the least expensive guide in the valley. So this is a tuff decision for us. As of now we are still $200 per person. If you book you hunt before/if we raise our rates, you will be locked in for that hunt at our normal cost. This isn't a for sure thing, just something we have been kicking around the past couple years. I always try to be as honest as possible with everything we do during the season and off season. Hopefully everyone sees that and appreciates it. Here are a couple pictures of the past season, including a couple cool birds. Things have picked up slightly over the past couple days. Saturday looks like a decent wind and I have 2 spots available. Here are our final available dates for the season. Even slow years will make you kinda sad to see come to an end. But there is always next year! We are taking reservations immediately for next season. Today's group was nothing short of a great time! Thanks Steve and crew! Although we haven't been getting big piles lately, we have been making the best of a slow year. We appreciate everyone who booked a hunt with us this season. Without you, none of this would be possible. We are close to 50% of what our normal bird numbers are. Not much has changed in 4 days since my last post. Not gonna lie, Its been really slow with the lack of birds in our area. Rite now a few good flocks is a good hunt but several hunts this week provided no shot opportunities. It's not what we want, but it happens sometimes. We are hoping in the coming days things will pick up again but there is no way to know unless you go. We are not currently planning on canceling any of our hunts. This is a post that no guide likes to make. As of the past few days the goose numbers in our area have really went downhill. Any day they can come back overnight, just as they left us. We still have a couple weeks of season left!!! Rite now a few good flocks is a good hunt but several hunts this week provided no shot opportunities. It's not what we want, but it happens sometimes. Update....January 8th just became available for up to 5 hunters.

It's been a little wet to get many pictures the past 3 days and to be honest, the geese have not been cooperating very well! It's definitely not for lack of birds. They seem to mostly just going to big grinds and not giving us much of a look. The weather is going to change in the next couple days and there are some north wind days in the future. The last few days have been anything but great with most groups lucky to get a couple flocks to decoy. Weather coming back the end of the week will help a lot! We were lucky enough to get another collared Aleutian goose again today! What a weird year its been so far. We still have a few openings in January.
