I need to take a quick minute to address something important so we can keep the shop a fun and welcoming place for everyone.
I absolutely LOVE seeing your kiddos come in ā they bring so much personality and joy with them! And I completely understand when older kids pop in to pick up orders for their parentsā¦ that is always welcome and appreciated.
Howeverā¦ lately weāve had some younger visitors treating the shop more like a playground than a store š« Items have been getting handled a little too roughly, moved around, and unfortunately even damaged.
So hereās the deal (said with love, but also with my āI mean itā face š):
š ALL children need to be supervised while in the store ā even if I know you, your parents, your aunt, your grandmaā¦ your children still need supervision. I mean you need to be with them at all times, not standing outside or looking yourself, you need to keep an eye on them at all times. ā¤ļø
We do have a few regular teens who hang out and are always respectful ā and that is totally fine! Decisions like that will be at the discretion of us, the owners. Supervision is needed for those younger than 15/16 (again, our discretion).
Everything in here is part of my small business, or my vendors, and many items are handmade or customized ā which means once theyāre damaged, I canāt just grab another off a shelf at a big box store. If a vendorās item gets damaged, thatās coming out of my pocket to replace! I wonāt expect them to replace an item that was damaged under my eye by an unsupervised child.
I promise Iām not trying to be the āno funā lady ā I have really struggled with saying anything about thisā I just want to protect what Iāve worked hard to build and keep things enjoyable for everyone who walks through the door š
