IHRA Makes $10 Million Donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Strengthening Commitment to Meaningful Community Impact

MEMPHIS, TN — The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA), under the leadership of owner Darryl Cuttell, has made a $10 million charitable donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, reinforcing IHRA’s commitment to serving communities not only through entertainment and shared experiences, but through support that truly changes lives.

Earlier today, IHRA leadership had the opportunity to tour the St. Jude campus, gaining firsthand insight into the hospital’s groundbreaking research, patient care programs, and the compassionate environment that supports children and families from around the world.

In addition to the donation, IHRA announced its intent to collaborate with St. Jude on future fundraising initiatives designed to expand awareness and generate additional support for the hospital’s mission: ensuring that no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family’s ability to pay.

“This donation is made on behalf of IHRA, but it is also deeply personal to me,” said Cuttell. “I lived in Memphis for a period of my life, close to St. Jude, and through friends who were medical providers there, I heard firsthand stories of the compassion, innovation, and hope that define this extraordinary institution. Touring the facility today further reinforced just how impactful their work truly is.”

For IHRA, the partnership reflects a broader philosophy of community engagement.

“Our events bring people together and create memorable experiences for families,” Cuttell added. “Partnering with St. Jude allows us to deepen our impact — supporting families not just with moments of joy, but with meaningful treatment, care, and hope when it matters most.”

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for advancing cures for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases and for freely sharing its discoveries with the global medical community to improve care worldwide.

Additional details regarding IHRA and St. Jude collaborative initiatives will be announced in the coming months.

Great to see 2025 races being scheduled!!

NEW EVENT POSTED UPDATE!

We are VERY thankful for Kenneth Watson of Fabstar Fabrications joining us to help create the Fab Star Fabrications Wheatland Brawl on May 31! This event brings a True Street race experience to KID that we are excited to have, while sharing a little education and training for us to repeat annually and possibly a couple times a year!

One of KID's priorities is to offer a variety of racing for the entire drag racing community while we build friendships and learn what we don't know to be successful in doing so.

A couple of tweaks will coming to the schedule prior to more events with flyers posting soon--
Heads Up, Index, Small Tire will run on the Heads Up dates...
Still looking at a couple of additions around the term of Nostalgia Race, along with adding some specialty races..
Finalizing State Championship and Wally Races since they won't run together...

Other updates:
- We continue renewing and signing new track, class and event sponsors including sit downs and Zoom meetings with a few. We're anxious to get those signed and paid to stay on schedule for the timing system.
- Clayton is biting at the bit for the track to melt off so we can start assessing and getting to work on improvements and repairs.
- We're excited about new partnerships to improve the track and events.
- The facility will start looking a little different as our friend and neighbor, Bar2Bar, is undergoing a little rerouting construction.
