"The Crafty Coyote"
Theres a story with every painting. Coyootes sneak up on the ducks, geese, & chickens often. I kept the 22 handy just in case! This coyote lay in waiting one snowy day across the waters of the tank out back, hoping for a chicken dinner, but I spotted him! I grabbed up my gun and headed out back, ready for the kill. He watched me come across the yard. I got him in my sights, but couldn't bring myself to shoot him. Finally I shot the ground near him and he loped away. We played this game several times til he finally outsmarted me & had a hardy meal. Guess he knew he messed up, he never came back. The next shot would have to be for real!
