The whole truth…
Now that I can sit down for a second and take a breath, I will explain what has transpired over the last couple of months with The Gladiator Farm and Lake Whitney Liquidation. For those who don’t know and for those who love starting rumors, let me clear it all up.
When we moved the store and the gym into the big 10,000sq ft warehouse on Brazos last fall, we were going to rent it the first year, sell our old building and buy the warehouse. We had a big vision to close the store by the end of this year and expand the gym and the outside space. However, God always has a better, bigger plan.
The property owners were made an offer for ALL the buildings, including ours. When they gave us the heads up, we were asked if we could be out quickly as the deal was moving fast. We agreed to move out early, in record time, to help make that deal work. It is a win for Whitney as it will bring more jobs, it is a win for the property owner as they got out from under the debt, and ultimately a win for us as our building didn’t sell yet and moving out reduced our expenses by almost $4k per month.
We were working 82 or more hours a week for the last couple months trying to make this work, so I have not had time to do a lot of updates. I was laser focused on making things happen.
The Gladiator Farm is back at our original location. 1030 E. Jefferson (Hwy 22 next to Hill County Water Supply. We are operating as usual, but are also renovating and trying to do an expansion so, please be patient with the mess. We are super excited about the new vision for our old space!
Change can happen so fast. How you handle it determines how quickly you move through it. God gave us the opportunity to have that big space so we could expand, grow and have a better vision for what the old space can be. I am so incredibly grateful for every bit of this experience and so excited about where we are headed!
Now, I am happy to answer questions! 🤣🤣🤣
