Hi everyone. I am revamping our camper we purchased second hand. I’m super bummed I lost my before pictures. I haven’t staged it but I wanted you to get the idea of what you can do with something that looks awful when you get it. This is very structurally sound nice camper but when you walked in the curtains were a black gray color and totally a blackout fabric so it was dark in there. They were nearly closed because they had put the curtain rods right on the edge of the window frame so you could never slide the curtains back and give it any bright light. Although taking pictures of it as it is now doesn’t do it justice without the contrast I just wanted you to be able to see what a difference some elbow grease can do! I painted the fabric on the cushions With Dixie Belle paint and wax near the table. If you wanna know how to do this I would be happy to teach you and it works great. I have plenty of paint in stock feel free to purchase when you need it.I purchased gauzy white curtains that have sea side shells embossed and put the curtain rods way back on the outer edges of the window frame so the light shines bright. Steamed cleaned everything first! The curtains literally I think cost three bucks a set at Christmas tree shop. Remember campers windows are really short so you don’t have to pay for these long curtains.I debated making all my curtains but I didn’t have the material and by the time I bought it and made it, it is so much cheaper at three bucks a window. And in one section I actually cuts curtains in half and use one set for two windows. Down the hallway you’ll see a white curtain drawn across that as a divider curtain for privacy for the main bedroom. If you were to get one on camper supplies sites for camping there ridiculously expensive. What I did is take narrow white ribbon and made mini loops to hook onto the track that the camper has for a dividing curtain! I’m not done yet I still have to decide on a lot of things but I did re-upholster the couch by simply doing the skirt on the bottom and making a throw for the top. The reason I only made the throw is because when the grandchildren stay over we need to lower that into a bed anyways, so there’s no sense of getting fancy and it certainly brightens it up from that dark gray black brown upholstery. A process in the making but I hope you’re enjoying some of the pictures and I really do wish I had the contrast pictures to show you the Difference . I hope you’re encouraged I hope you are inspired to make something for yourself that doesn’t break the bank.
