To all of you who may own a firearm with a stabilizing brace, please be advised of the following ATF regulation.

ATF Notification: “Factoring Criteria for Fi****ms With Attached Stabilizing Braces”

Per notification from the ATF, the regulatory definition of “rifle”is clarified when a firearm is designed, made, and intended to be fired from the shoulder.

Affected persons with fi****ms with stabilizing braces have until May 31, 2023 to come into compliance by any of the following:

1. Remove the short barrel and attach a 16-inch or longer barrel to the firearm,

2. Permanently remove and dispose of, or alter, the “stabilizing brace” such that it can’t be reattached,

3. Turn the firearm to your local ATF office,

4. Destroy the firearm,

5. Register the firearm tax-free by May 31, 2023.

We will be closed this Friday in order to set up at the Bonham Gun Show this weekend.

The show is at the Fannin County Multi- plex Center. It is open from 9-5, Saturday and 9-4 on Sunday.

Please be advised our guns and ammo portion of our store will be closed from September 8 until September 21 as I will be having surgery during this time.

However, Bruce will be available to handle your Gunsmithing needs during this time.
