We typically keep this page professional and business focused, but today I'm sharing my heart.
Over the years, many of our customers have become much more than clients. They've become friends and feel like family. Because of that, we wanted to share what's happening in our lives and let you know why things may look a little different around here for a while.
For the a little over the past week, my (jo's) dad, David, who many of you may have met while on installations with us, has been in the hospital.
A few short weeks ago, he was running 5 miles several times a week. Today, he is frail, weak, and fighting for his health. What started with kidney failure has led us through three different hospitals, countless tests, and more questions than answers.
Yesterday, we received the devastating diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, a rare and incurable blood cancer.
He will remain hospitalized for at least another week as doctors work to improve his kidney function. He has already begun treatment, and tomorrow he will have a port placed for plasmapheresis and dialysis.
We are still processing the shock of it all. Just last month, he received a clean bill of health at his annual physical. Nothing could have prepared us for this news.
As you can imagine, this has affected my availability and has put some strain on our production and delivery schedules. We are doing our very best to keep everything running while also supporting my dad through the biggest fight of his life. I have been staying 100% of the time at the hospital by his side & Chris and the kids have been making the 3 hour round trip daily.
We would be incredibly grateful for your prayers for my Dad/ our kiddos' Papa. We also appreciate your patience, understanding, and support during this difficult time.
Thank you for being part of our community, for supporting our small family business, and for standing with our family when we need it most. ❤️
