Hi Friends, I have a life update. Nancy the Girl is officially closed, in person and online. I had planned to sporadically keep selling over the summer but received an offer for everything from the wonderful Ana of Ana’s Closet in Bellows Falls and I’m taking it. I’m really grateful for the opportunity to say goodbye to all of the inventory at once, slashing prices and watching things leave one by one has been kind of excruciating, dragging out the inevitable. Letting go of the store has been a very hard thing for me to accept, especially given how intertwined my identity is with the brand and how much more than a store Nancy the Girl has meant to me and helped shape who I am today. I started selling vintage clothing at Revolution when I was 23, and was there for 8 years before venturing out to start Nancy the Girl, 8 years ago. That’s 16 years of vintage clothing being my life and identity and it’s been scary to say goodbye but also really freeing because I’m excited to see where else I can spread my magic.
