This one stopped me in my tracks… 🌳

A tree—created entirely from layers of fabric, handmade papers, and found materials—by Carol Tessier The texture, the movement, the depth… it feels alive.

It also feels especially fitting for Arbor Day.
Because just like trees, this piece is built in layers—rooted, intentional, and full of story.

We discovered Carol’s work while visiting my sister Su Anne, owner of the very person that inspired my love of framing.

And isn’t that what art does?
It connects us. Places. People. Moments in time.

Carol “paints” with textiles—often using nautical charts, vintage papers, and collected fabrics—to create pieces that feel both grounded and expressive. Gathering the materials, she says, is half the magic… and you can feel that in every inch of this work.

🌿 Art inspired by nature.
🌿 Made from pieces of the world around us.
🌿 Meant to be preserved and displayed.

Handmade. Layered. Rooted in story.

Your Walls…Your Story.

She saved everything.
The drawings. The scribbles. The “look what I made for you, Mom” moments.

And most of it?
It’s still sitting in a pile… or tucked in a drawer somewhere.

This Mother’s Day… let’s change that.

Our Wall Worthy Magnetic Frames turn those little masterpieces into something she’ll see (and feel) every single day.

✨ A rotating gallery of their art
✨ Handcrafted solid wood
✨ Easy to swap in new favorites
✨ Available in natural or black
✨ A way to honor the moments she never threw away

Handmade by our family. Proudly displayed by yours.

Because it was never “just a drawing.”
And she was never “just keeping it.”

💛 Plan ahead—Mother’s Day is just a couple weeks away.

We’re honored to frame “My Father’s Country” by Ampilatwatja Artist, Selina P**a Teece Pwerle ✨

A quiet nod to where we come from… and who came before us.

Born in 1977 in her traditional country of Anterrengeny in Alyawarr Country, Selina grew up surrounded by artists and a deep cultural connection to land. Her work reflects the plants, flowers, and landscapes of her country—often after the rains, when the land is alive with color.

This piece echoes themes from her 2021 solo exhibition Anterrangeny – My Country, presented by Everywhen Art—a body of work centered on connection, heritage, and place.

As the artist shares:

“I paint the country that I come from, the beautiful landscape and the many colours as they change during the season.”

Our client wanted a minimal frame that would let the artwork speak—and we couldn’t agree more.

To complement the natural tones and story within the piece, we selected a warm walnut frame from .woods Its organic finish enhances the landscape without competing with it—creating a clean, grounded presentation that keeps the focus exactly where it belongs.

This work comes from Ampilatwatja Art Centre —an Alyawaar owned and governed art center in remote Central Australia—where art is deeply rooted in place, culture, and identity.

Minimal frame. Maximum impact. 🌿

Thank you, Kirk—we truly appreciate your kind words.

This is exactly what we strive for at DuPage Framing Center.

Yes—we have over 40 years of experience.
Yes—we know framing inside and out.

But what matters most?

✨ Listening
✨ Understanding your vision
✨ Creating something that feels right for you and your space

Because the perfect frame isn’t just about what looks good—
it’s about telling your story, beautifully.

Sometimes, less really is more.

This painting began as a 24×36 canvas…
but what our client truly loved was right at the center.

So we cut it down to a 5×5 — preserving the heart of the piece —
and gave it a new life.

Framed in a Larson-Juhl Chateau moulding, it now lives on a bookshelf instead of a wall…
proof that not all art needs to hang to be seen.

Your walls tell a story.
But so do your shelves.

Meet Elisabeth Nealon.

She didn’t begin her art career early in life.
She came to it when she needed it most.

What started as a way to process grief, trauma, and healing…
became something more.

A language.
A release.
A return to herself.

Her work lives in that quiet space between memory and emotion—
layered, expressive, sometimes bold… sometimes soft.

It invites you to slow down.
To feel something.
To remember something you didn’t even know was there.

This is what I love about spotlighting women 50+.
We are not starting over… we are arriving.

✨ Elisabeth also creates commissioned pieces inspired by your story and space
✨ You can see her work at West End Arts Festival (Sept 12–13)
✨ And One of a Kind Show Chicago (Spring + Holiday 2026)

If her work speaks to you… pay attention to that.
