We’re honored to frame “My Father’s Country” by Ampilatwatja Artist, Selina P**a Teece Pwerle ✨
A quiet nod to where we come from… and who came before us.
Born in 1977 in her traditional country of Anterrengeny in Alyawarr Country, Selina grew up surrounded by artists and a deep cultural connection to land. Her work reflects the plants, flowers, and landscapes of her country—often after the rains, when the land is alive with color.
This piece echoes themes from her 2021 solo exhibition Anterrangeny – My Country, presented by Everywhen Art—a body of work centered on connection, heritage, and place.
As the artist shares:
“I paint the country that I come from, the beautiful landscape and the many colours as they change during the season.”
Our client wanted a minimal frame that would let the artwork speak—and we couldn’t agree more.
To complement the natural tones and story within the piece, we selected a warm walnut frame from .woods Its organic finish enhances the landscape without competing with it—creating a clean, grounded presentation that keeps the focus exactly where it belongs.
This work comes from Ampilatwatja Art Centre —an Alyawaar owned and governed art center in remote Central Australia—where art is deeply rooted in place, culture, and identity.
Minimal frame. Maximum impact. 🌿
