This one went out the door today. Fun to build and sounds great! I built it with gently used, classic Slingerland lugs. The shell and other hardware were brand new. Like just about every drum I build, I was tempted to keep this one for myself. Ah well, how many snare drums does a guy need? 100. That's how many.

I am happy to say that I have sold this one! Ash is a nice material to work with, and the crack of this snare is epic. Already looking forward to building the next drum, now what will it be....?

Here's my 2018 custom made maple kit, atop a riser no less! This was my first real attempt at stave drums lo those many years ago...., and despite a few learning curve related issues, this kit has been great! I've been using the snare drum from my cover picture, which is one of the better ones that I've made.
