🏘️ Frank was similar to my parents — and when I say parents, I mean the decision maker, my mom. When I was young we moved often and lived in 5-6 houses by the time I graduated high school. One time we literally moved 3 houses down. My mom craved newness and was always on the hunt.

Frank also moved houses frequently and leaned on me for his home theater and distributed audio needs. Lucky for me, shortly after I was fired from my previous employer, Frank got in touch about designing and pre-wiring his new build.

This was technically my first big job and critical to building some capital to help launch Crescendo. It wasn't a massive job and not a windfall by today's standards, but a much-needed boost financially and a vote of confidence, which I was lacking.

I didn't have much to offer at the time other than my KISS advice, labor and some speakers/electronics I could get from a local distributor and my fathers store Alterman Audio Inc., but it set the journey in motion.

There are many, many customers to whom I owe gratitude — memorable stops along Crescendo's thirteen-year journey. Every single one matters, but especially those who believed and trusted me early on.

Thank you Frank for always allowing me to be your go-to, even when I lacked foundation or the facade of a storefront. It means the 🌎

🚔SWAT - sell what's available today.

This is a common edict in retail sales to help move thru backstock and was commonplace at my last job. I would often upset Steve W, who was in charge of ordering, as I did not adhere to this rule.

We at Crescendo take pride in making sure we explore and investigate the best long term sonic solution for everyone's unique needs and don't discount the preferences of others. Some prefer aesthetics or functionality over utmost sound. Our job is simply to make people aware of all the options and help narrow down selection through thoughtful conversation with the client.

Stop by our store Tuesday thru Saturday, 11-6 to feast your eyes, ears and exchange ideas with us. All the evidence can't be found online and must be experienced in person to gather all the facts.

Unsung hero.

Meet Melissa. Without her, Crescendo doesn't exist. She provided financial, emotional and spiritual support in our early days along with her salt of the earth family including Dan the man and Mrs. Becky. From the little town of Lusk Wyoming she sacrificed greatly. She had just graduated from acupuncture school and was about to move out of state to start her career when I put a dent in that plan after having met at a show at the Filmore. Soon after we met I was let go from my previous employer and Crescendo was born out of necessity. Having only been in the A/V industry, I knew nothing else. She and her family were instrumental to our success. Also pictured here is her sweetheart, souldog Maya and our lovely Rita meter maid. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post this as we are no longer together and haven't spoken in ages but I'll always be grateful for Melissa and her family.

Dan and Becky were extremely generous with their time, heart and finances. Becky was always sneaking off to the waiter and paying the dinner bills. Dan helped pay for the utilities and threw the best 4th of July parties. If you can't tell, I miss these guys and regret not repaying all the favors they afforded me.

Businesses started from scratch have a lot of ingredients and most often the ingredients are overlooked and the focus is on the cake that was baked. I want everyone to know how vital these people were to Crescendo and how much they mean to me.
