At the end of May, we celebrated another birthday at Sweet Home Books, and y’all showed up in the BEST way!
Running an indie bookstore means there are plenty of days spent worrying about numbers, ordering books, unpacking boxes, planning events, and wondering what in the world we’ve gotten ourselves into 😅
During our birthday celebration, however, we looked around the crowded bookstore and remembered that this job is about so much more than just selling books.
Thank you for celebrating with us and for showing up for us. Thank you for five years of stories, friendship, laughter, book clubs, crafts, recommendations, conversations, and community. We are honored to have another year of Sweet Home Books! 🩵

🖍️✂️ School is back in session, but we still have a lot going on at Sweet Home Books.

💋8/15 National Book Lovers Day, Sweet Home Books will have an updated selection of blind date books as well as 20% off all in-stock contemporary romances.

🫖 8/16 Teas and Tomes Book Club, SHB’s cozy fantasy book club. Join us for tea and cozy conversation. This month’s book club pick is “The Faraway Inn” by Sarah Beth Durst.

📜 8/20 Archived Reads, our historical fiction book club, is reading “Before We Were Yours” by Lisa Wingate.

📚 8/22 Sweet Home Social. It’s “Book Swap” night at Sweet Home Books. Bring 2 wrapped books that you can swap with others. Make sure these titles are in good condition and general enough for anyone to enjoy. There will be snacks. This is a ticketed event, so please visit our website for more info.

🍷 8/27 Wine Down. August’s theme is “Backlist Love,” so bring 1-2 backlist titles from an author you love. This event is ticketed, so please visit our website for more info.
