It is with peace and not a heavy heart that I want to announce my hiatus from sales & commissions via Nature Goblin.

I've worked really hard for a few years now to share my weird art with everyone - but it definitely came at a cost.

With Heart Made closing down & my consignment coming to an end at Tables & Towers - maintaining online orders & inventory would be my only feasible option.

Having done online orders and inventory before physical location - It's not an option I can return to. Keeping stock updated and accurate, marketing, merchandising, photos, etc - it all goes against what I have enjoyed the most about running Nature Goblin.

I fell in love with the ability to make whatever pops into my head, and then send it out into the world. Keeping boxes/shelves in my own house is antithetical to my process.

So I want to thank each and every one of you who ever saw something I made and had even a moment of "Huh, that's neat!"

I may pop up out of the grave every now and then with Mystery Boxes or the odd "Hey who wants this weird thing" - but at a pace I set for myself

And thus ends the journey with Heart Made Collaborative!! Will never forget the friends I made and the hundreds of excited faces on kids and adults alike. It feels good to close down with people wanting more instead of overstaying. I look forward to the next adventure - and hope many of you travel along with me! I dropped off a BUNCH of stuff at Tables & Towers this past week, so keep an eye out there for some more mystery dice, towers, cases & fidgets!!

Black Swallowtail Day 3!

Aaand we have caterpillar soup! A week or two simmering, and we will get to release a brand new butterfly!

Excellent timing for having rescued this guy yesterday!

He’s begun the excruciating process of forming a chrysalis, you can see the attachment points at both head and tail for this species.

After about a week, the chrysalis will be formed and our little buddy working hard inside. Another week or so after that, and we will be able to safely release him outside to find food and make more black swallowtails!

Keep going little guy… change and growth hurt a lot sometimes, and we don’t always know what will happen - but we will never again be the same.

Managed to rescue this chonker of a black swallowtail cat before the thunderstorms knocked the fennel to the ground! Doing my best to set up a safe enclosure for it to build a chrysalis & hatch safely so we can release!

Lucky for him, I had plenty of bug habitats ready to plunk him in temporarily lol - hopefully the isopods don’t get too curious before I move it to a safer spot - they like protein.

Had a wonderful day at Westminster Maryland Pride Festival yesterday! It was lovely meeting so many local folks with vibrant curious and creative spirits.

After a very long week of headaches and heat, I wasn’t sure I would even make it downtown - let alone get any sort of booth set up.

However, thanks to my awesome husband running the register & the kiddo being unusually chill and upbeat all day, I think I might have actually made enough to fix my car finally!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by or said hello - you all kept my spirits up & motivation rolling.

Super proud of this! I have spent years tending to the ecosystem in my little suburban rental duplex. Increasing biodiversity, planting natives, keeping invasives in check, and providing shelter, food, and water to the balance of creatures who share this plot of land. I am very proud of how far we have come!

Working on designing and remixing some models to start offering ledges and jumping spider hides!! I have a bit of arachnophobia myself, so I would love it if someone who has them as pets can let me know how the scale is! If you want some free hides, first couple of folks to send me an address can test them out! # vivariums

It is time!! Finally ready to move my mourning geckos into their big girl enclosure, and to say I’m nervous is an understatement. They are so small and so fast, any maintenance will be my own personal nightmare. Can’t wait to see how it goes!

Nothing fancy, just pleased with the growth in this vivarium!

I started getting it planted for when my mourning gecko is big enough to move into it, making sure it maintains humidity etc without much interference from me - opening those doors with skittish lizards is butt-clenching anxiety full stop - and now I get to work on sealing off the escape routes!! The plants are all super happy, and the legginess is because I forgot to turn the plant lights on for like a week, but ambient light feom the window was enough to keep em all growing.

Soon it will be home to my le***an lizard clone army, and looking forward to watching them grow!
