Hieu Tran, a recent graduate of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, represents that journey beautifully. From a passionate violin student to a confident young performing professional, Hieu’s growth has been shaped by discipline, perseverance, and a genuine love for music.
Along that journey, Hieu has practiced and performed on Gracie’s Fine Violins’ Exclusive Model — LuaNar 2024, an instrument that has been in his hands since the very first days of its completion.
In Hieu’s own words, this violin has given him "the confidence to explore, refine, and ultimately find the sound he has been searching for through many performances."
For us, that is perhaps the most meaningful relationship between a musician and an instrument. It is not simply about owning a violin—it is about discovering a voice. Over time, through rehearsals, performances, and countless hours together, the artist shapes the instrument, and the instrument helps reveal the artist.
It has been a privilege to witness Hieu and LuaNar 2024 grow together, each performance adding another chapter to their shared musical journey.

🎻 A Moment of “Oblivion” — Where Music Speaks Beyond Words
Special thanks to the talented violinist Phạm Vũ An, who happened to be home for the summer from his studies at Paris Conservatory of Music, France, for sharing this beautiful performance with us.
With musical experiences gathered from across the globe, Vũ An brings his own sensitivity and expression to Astor Piazzolla’s Oblivion—one of the composer’s most hauntingly beautiful works.
Oblivion carries a feeling of nostalgia, longing, and quiet remembrance. Its slow, tango-inspired melody seems to drift between memory and reality—melancholic yet deeply romantic, as though recalling a precious moment that time has slowly begun to erase. The violin’s warm, lingering phrases give the music an almost human voice: sometimes whispering, yearning, and simply allowing the silence between the notes to speak.
