Lemongrass has been traditionally used in herbal preparations and is incredibly versatile around the home:

Did you know that collecting rainwater can be a simple way to make good use of what nature gives us? 💧

A rain barrel can collect runoff from a roof and save it for another day. Depending on local rules and how the water is collected, it can be handy for things like:

🌻 Watering flowers & ornamental plants
🌳 Watering trees and shrubs
🧹 Outdoor cleaning
🪣 Rinsing garden tools
🌱 Helping reduce the amount of treated water used outdoors

And it adds up quickly—just 1 inch of rain falling on a 1,000-square-foot roof produces roughly 620 gallons of water! 😲💦

🎉🇦🇹 SHE’S HERE!! 🇺🇸🎉

After LOTS of flight delays, cancellations, and a much longer travel adventure than planned… Lilly finally made it to Wisconsin! ❤️

Everyone, meet Lilly, our exchange student/daughter from Austria! 🇦🇹 She’ll be here with us until February, so I’m sure you’ll see her around the Cozy Coop, at school, and out experiencing everything Wisconsin has to offer! 🐔🌽🧀

A few fun facts about Lilly:

🚜 She lives on a big farm back home in Austria!
🥗 She tried ranch and LOVES it — so I think we can officially let her stay. 😂
💙💛 She’s excited about joining FFA!
🐔 She loves chickens — clearly she landed with the right family!
🎳 And one thing on her Wisconsin bucket list is to try bowling!

We’re so excited to have her here and can’t wait for all the adventures, new experiences, and memories ahead! ❤️

Creating a more natural home doesn’t have to happen overnight. Sometimes it’s simply about making one small swap at a time as the things you already use run out. 💚

A few simple swaps to consider:

🌿 Choose simpler household cleaners when they work for the job
🕯️ Try beeswax or soy candles
🫙 Choose reusable glass containers when practical
🧴 Look for personal-care products with ingredients you understand
♻️ Reuse, refill and reduce waste whenever you can

You don’t have to throw everything away or completely change your lifestyle. Start small, learn as you go, and choose what works best for your family. 🌱
