I-71 is closed in Columbus due to flooding. City officials are also activating the Franklinton Flood Wall which has Greenlawn and Harmon closed.
SR104 is also closed due to flooding. Alternate routes are experiencing high water and stranded vehicles. Please do not travel if you can avoid it. Water should begin receding but may take time due to how saturated the ground is.

They will talk about navigating grief, understanding that it looks different for everyone, and some of the ways we can show up for others when we may not know what to say or do.

Delaware County Sheriff's needs your help locating a missing teenager so this information can reach as many people as possible.

📂 Richard Wilde, 15, was last seen on Friday evening, August 14, 2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m. at his home in the Worthington Arms area near north Lewis Center, Ohio.

🚲 Richard is believed to have left the residence on a black BMX-style bicycle. Authorities say no foul play is suspected at this time.

👦 Description: Richard is approximately 5'11" tall and weighs 150 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair.

👕 Possible clothing: A Columbus Aviators hat, a blue Olentangy Berlin hoodie, and either jeans or blue sweatpants.

REuse-a-Palooza #11: August 29, 2026

Join your Westerville neighbors in this bi-annual (August and May) free curbside exchange. to give reusable items a new home and purpose. This citywide effort gives reusable items a new home and purpose, and helps extend the life of our landfill. This is not a garage sale, as ALL goods are FREE.

Simply place clean, usable items you no longer need at your curb for others to take. Furniture, toys, clothing, tools, and other household items are all welcome.

Sharing in case you are traveling to Indianapolis area...

Flooding has caused a portion of I-70 west to wash out in Indiana. We have posted mesages in Columbus and Dayton on I-70 to alert drivers. If you're going to Indianapolis, plan ahead for a long detour. Check 511in.org for travel info from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Clear out space from your closet while making someone else’s costume dreams come true! Donate your new or gently used costumes and accessories for this free swap. Donations should be clean and in good condition.

Items accepted include:

Hats
Inflatables
Jewelry
Makeup
Masks
Onesies
Props
Suits
Wigs
and more!
Drop off your items near the parking lot entrance during regular business hours.

Shopping day will take place on September 19. You do not have to donate clothing to be able to pick out free clothing.

Disclaimer: Donations become property of the library and may be donated to charity if they remain after our free shopping day.

Join us and our community partners for a FREE Life Jacket Distribution during the Touch-A-Truck event at Delaware State Park Campground (5202 US Hwy. 23 N.) on Saturday, August 1, from Noon–2:00 p.m.
