Our Thrift Store supports a Food Pantry & Community Resources Office. Donations accepted & appreciated. The Jonnycake Center of Westerly is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization established in 1975 that serves clients in the towns of Westerly, Hopkinton, Charlestown and Richmond, Rhode Island. We operate a food pantry, a social services office, and a retail thrift store which are staffed by employ
ees and volunteers. Food, clothing, household goods and emergency financial assistance are offered to qualifying clients who require help with basic needs such as rent, mortgages, utilities, prescription medicine, and education assistance. Our Food Pantry serves individuals and families in need year-round. Special programs are offered to keep school-age children fed during the weekends and school holidays. Assistance for Thanksgiving/holiday-time dinners is also available. For eligibility and to learn more, call (401) 377-8069 and select Option 1. The Jonnycake Center of Westerly's Social Services department coordinates an annual Adopt-a-Family Program, providing gifts for children in need during the holiday season. Our 7,000 square-foot Thrift Store is open to the public and offers a wide selection of brand-new and gently-used clothes, accessories, furniture, household goods, electronics, kids' activities, multimedia, and much more. Discounts on select merchandise are offered daily. Proceeds from the Thrift Store help fund the Social Services department and Food Pantry.
