Join us at the The United Theatre with Soho Press as we host internationally bestselling author Leonie Swann for a special book discussion/movie screening event for her “original and clever” (Carl Hiaasen) sheep detective novel, THREE BAGS FULL.

Leonie will discuss her celebrated novel before she joins audiences for an opening week screening of The Sheep Detectives, which stars Hugh Jackman, et al. The book talk at 3pm is free (registration required) and a 4pm screening of The Sheep Detectives will follow, though tickets for the screening must be purchased separately through the UNITED website.

Nancy Miller (Ms. Nancy) is an elementary teacher with over 20 years of experience and a master’s degree in Reading and Literacy. She has spent much of her career in kindergarten, where read-aloud time was always the most magical part of the day.

Having lived and taught internationally, Nancy loves sharing stories that celebrate travel, diverse cultures, and the wide world beyond our own. Recently relocated to Westerly as a military spouse, she is thrilled to share her love of stories, laughter, and reading with the community through storytime at Martin House Books.

POSTPONED | DEBORAH GOODRICH ROYCE | NEW DATE APRIL 12 | 4pm - Due to the forecasted snow, the Deborah Goodrich Royce author talk at the UNITED has been postponed.
All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.
If your ticket included a copy of Best Boy, books will be available for pickup starting next week at Martin House Books. In the meantime, catch Deborah Goodrich Royce and Robin Kall live on Instagram today at 4pm as they tease the event and chat a bit about Best Boy.

A huge thanks to the for their generosity and community support! We had our second annual Santa and Books event on Wednesday and it was a great success! The Westerly Police Department gave every kid who attended the opportunity to meet Santa and get a free book from us and a free drink from !

Join us in beautiful, downtown Westerly for the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce 28th Annual Holiday Stroll! The sidewalks will be lined with beautiful luminaria and we'll have some incredible authors signing books!

📖 At 4 pm down in the children's section 🍄 we'll be doing a special storytime event with Regina Linke and Ellen Mayer Books!

🔎Thriller authors Christa Carmen and Kristin Offiler will be on hand to sign/personalize their books starting at 5 pm!
